Newsflash!! 02/2008 - Four of the original members (Rick, Billy, Marc and Mike) of Foluntear have reunited for a few new songs. Have a listen to Kiss Me Goodbye fresh out of the studio 02/25/2008.
Foluntear was formed in 1986 in Claremont Ca. We were heavily influenced by Duran Duran and Nik Kershaw. The name was a cross between "Fallen Tear" and "Volunteer".
The core of the band was together until 1989 and then continued on in various forms for a few more years. During the years
of 86-89 we sold over 10,000 of our 45s which featured "Dancing on the Rainbow" and "In My Minds Eye". Both songs were played by Richard Blade on KROQ 106.7
and he refered to us as LA's Duran Duran. We were a fixture in the local club scene and could be seen during the 80's performing sold out shows at the Roxy, Whiskey and
Madame Wongs West as well as supporting popular acts at the time like Stacey Q.
Foluntear's core members are:
Marc Grey - Vocals
Rick Thomas - Drums, Keyboards, Bass
Mike Burns - Guitar
Billy Heinzman - Bass
Mike Runner - Keyboards
John Avilyn - Keyboards, Drums
Mylan Lubanko - Keyboards
These songs were recorded at Kingsound Studios by Eddie King of Bruce Hornsby fame. Enjoy them!
